Brain fog but no related illnesses

Hi all,

I’m really interested to know whether there are many other people out there who suffer from brain fog but don’t have the illnesses that many sufferers have, such as fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, Lyme  disease, etc. Please comment below to start a discussion.

Hi again! I tried to skim thru your older posts to see if you discussed in more depth what caused your brain fog but I’m half asleep lol. I wanna read your blood cell post more though. Anyway….have you seen a functional/holistic Doctor? There are things by itself that can cause the brain fog. Leaky gut, adrenal fatigue, dopamine/seratonin levels, diet, heavy metals toxicity, hormones, just to name some. I know I have hashi’s but even still, I’m sure those things alone can cause the brain fog. I’ve gone thru countless tests in the last 3 yrs all of which my western doctors would’ve never done or even heard of. Lots of functional medicine Dr’s do free consults in case you wanted to pick their brain. I hope this helps! G night!

Hi Sherry, thanks for the comment. I saw a holistic doctor and it made all the difference. The doctor determined that I had terrible digestion and she basically cured me by removing dairy from my diet and reducing my meat intake. I’m almost 100% now, after really struggling for several years. My family GP told me I was probably just stressed (which was true), but that diagnosis set me back about two years in my recovery. The reason for my post is I’m keen to know whether my own experience, ie. only having bad digestion but not realising it for years, could be helpful to others suffering from brain fog. Paul

I have been in the fog for about 8 years now. I’ve seen about 22 different types of doctors and have been through every test imaginable. I have explored so many natural methods on top of whatever that seeks doctor told me would work. To no avail, here i am still in the fog. My GP wants me to go to mayo but I am trying to find my own answers. I just found you through a post you made on another blog, so I look forward to reading your story. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Hey Jenn, thanks for your post. I’m sorry to hear about your situation, it’s really a horrible thing to live with. If you find some of my posts useful and would like any more information, feel free to write me an email and I’ll do what I can to help. All the best with your journey, with your persistence, I have little doubt you’ll find a way through. Paul
